Bowning Hill Walk

My sister and I decided to climb Bowning Hill after we had both heard an interview on ABC Canberra radio, about the community organisation called the SPIN Foundation that runs it every year. Spin means “supporting people in need”.

We arrived at base camp at about 11am and there had already been over 200 people do the ascent! By the time we got back down there had been well over 300. We hope they managed to raise lots of money.

We had a milo and a sausage sandwich at the top and took in the amazing view. Its a hill we have both driven past countless times so we were excited to climb to the top.

Even though it was pretty yucky weather we try much enjoyed it. We then popped into Tyger gallery in Yass to see Sam Suttie’s gorgeous paintings (could have bought them all!) and I bought I beautiful pink jumper in Merchant and Campbell.

Lovely day out! Thanks to the SPIN Foundation! See you next year!
