Cath Grassick

Retired AFP Superintendent Cath Grassick spoke at the YMCA Canberra conference about police women’s uniforms and it was unbelievable to hear that it took until the early 21st century for women in the police force to have uniforms that were gender neutral. Throughout her 30+ year career Cath advocated on behalf of the LGBTI community within the police force but also in the community. As a member of the LGBTI community herself she knew that many members of that community were much more vulnerable to violence.
