Finalist PCP: Iris Award

In 2021 I had breast lumpectomy surgery and radiotherapy for a DCIS which was a fairly traumatic time touching on breast cancer!

I created a series of self portraits whilst waiting for my results and I entered this portrait into the Perth Centre for Photography’s Iris Award, an annual competition that celebrates portraiture that’s pushing the boundaries.

I am a finalist.

Here is the image. Humour is often used to help during difficult situations hence this image.
