Curtis Glass
I am so lucky I live in Queanbeyan as recently I got to photograph Matt Curtis’ glass pieces for his upcoming exhibition and Sabbia Gallery in Sydney.
Matt Curtis & Harriet Schwarzrock
From their website: “Our glass practice is in itself shifting puzzle, at times a raucous family affair with contributions from our two lovely teenage boys. At other moments it is a quiet distillation of material: allowing for the contemplation and placement of components and forms to create sculptural works……”
Gorgeous Ellena
Over halfway there and looking so beautiful and radiant! I knew Ellena would be up for almost anything! For someone with a massive bird phobia growing up, it seemed crazy doing her portraits in front of a beautifully colourful Graffikpaint bird mural.
Cath Grassick
Retired AFP Superintendent Cath Grassick spoke at the YMCA Canberra conference about police women’s uniforms and it was unbelievable to hear that it took until the early 21st century for women….
Beauty within
Life can and will throw all sorts of arrows at us.
Some beautiful, tranquil, intoxicating shots……
Blair Bisset
This post is shared with the consent by Ellena and Adam in the hope that it will help other families suffering stillbirth and terminally ill children.
Blair was born on the 26th June 2019 so she would be 2 now. She is much loved and thought about every day by her parents. Ellena has set up a page on Instagram called Mummy Healing in the hope she can touch other families afflicted with the loss of a child.

Diversity or D.I.E
In the 25 years that I have been photographer and part of the AIPP, there have been massive changes in our industry. Technologically, with better gear being produced all the time and at lower prices. Socially, with many photographers ranking business skills and advocacy as less important than number your social media followers. Financially, the ability to earn an income can be very tough as it is highly competitive and the general market has been ‘dumbed’ down when often all that is required is an image for social media, viewed on peoples’ phones. Though there has been no changes in commercial photographers’ rights the power of ‘exposure’ to the less initiated, often rules.
